A marquee event designed to celebrate the St. Louis region’s top up-and-coming entrepreneurs is ready to kick off its fifth year, and organizers have unveiled a full slate of speakers and programming ahead of its kickoff this September.
Built by the community for the community, STL Startup Week is an annual five-day celebration and elevation of all things entrepreneurship in St. Louis. Featuring talks, panel discussions, workshops, networking events and more, STL Startup Week has inspired thousands of individuals to discover their potential as entrepreneurs, innovators, and change-makers.
This was the second year that event organizers invited members of the community to apply for a select number of speaking spots throughout the week. Members of the organizing committee, which includes several entrepreneurs and other ecosystem leaders, scored and selected speakers according to specific criteria.
One of the largest changes to the slate of entrepreneurial events is the inclusion of Startup Connection, an ecosystem wide, expo-style event that pre-dated Startup Week.
“We felt it was time to bring this event back post-pandemic. Since more of us are working from home or remotely, the need for community building and professional relationships has never been greater. People are hungry for connections,” said Matt Menietti, Lead Organizer for STL Startup Week.
Startup Connection will serve as the flagship event during STL Startup Week and feature dozens of early-stage startup companies. The event is being co-hosted in partnership with the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis and will take place on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at Knight & Bauer Hall on campus at WashU. Admission to the event, which includes drinks, appetizers, and parking, is $25 (free for students).
All of the week’s Official Programming will take place at five coworking spaces across the Greater St. Louis Metro:
